Highlights:
1) Low latency device polling, eliminating the cost of interrupt handling and context switches. Allows direct polling of a network device from socket operations, such as recvmsg() and poll().
Currently ixgbe, mlx4, and bnx2x support this feature.

Regarding the mac80211 bits, Johannes says:

As for the iwlwifi bits, Johannes says:
"Emmanuel contributed two AP mode fixes, removed an unused field, fixed a comment and added a warning for something that shouldn't happen in practice, and I removed the declaration of a function that doesn't even exist and cleaned up a small include."
"This time I have a number of cleanups, a small fix from Emmanuel and two performance improvements that combined reduce our driver's CPU utilisation as much as 75% in high TX-throughput scenarios."
"These two patches fix two issues with using rfkill randomly during traffic, which would then cause our driver to stop working and not be able to recover at all."
Regarding the ath6kl bits, Kalle says:
"Here are few simple patches for ath6kl. We have a suspend crash fix for USB from Shafi, use of mac_pton(), a compiler warning fix and a fix for module initialisation error path."
Kalle also sends the biggest single item of note, the new ath10k driver for Qualcomm Atheros 802.11ac CQA98xx devices.
Included is an NFC pull, of which Samuel says:
"These are the pending NFC patches for the 3.11 merge window.
It contains the pending fixes that were on nfc-fixes (nfc-fixes-3.10-2), along with a few more for the pn544 and pn533 drivers, the LLCP disconnection path and an LLCP memory leak.
Highlights for this one are:
- An initial secure element API. NFC chipsets can carry an embedded secure element or get access to the SIM one. In both cases they control the secure elements and this API provides a way to discover, enable and disable the available SEs. It also exports that to userspace in order for SE focused middleware to actually do something with them (e.g. payments).
- NCI over SPI support. SPI is the most complex NCI specified transport layer and we now have support for it in the kernel. The next step will be to implement drivers for NCI chipsets using this transport like e.g. bcm2079x.
- NFC p2p hardware simulation driver. We now have an nfcsim driver that is mostly a loopback device between 2 NFC interfaces. It also implements the rest of the NFC core API like polling and target detection. This driver, with neard running on top of it, allows us to completely test the LLCP, SNEP and Handover implementation without physical hardware.
- A Firmware update netlink API. Most (All ?) HCI chipsets have a special firmware update mode where applications can push a new firmware that will be flashed. We now have a netlink API for providing that mode to e.g. nfctool."
On top of all that, there are a variety of updates to brcmfmac, iwlegacy, rtlwifi, wil6210, and the TI wl12xx drivers. As usual, the bcma and ssb busses get a little love as well, as do a handful of others here and there. ====================

Regarding the mac80211 bits, Johannes says:

- An NFC MEI physical layer code factorization through the mei_phy NFC API. Both the microread and the pn544 drivers now use it.
- LLCP aggregation support. This allows NFC p2p devices to send aggregated frames containing all sort of LLCP frames except SYMM and aggregation frames.
- More LLCP socket options for getting the remote device link parameters.
- Fixes for the LLCP socket option code added with the first pull request for 3.10.
- Some support for LLCP corner cases like 0 length SDUs and general DISC (tagged with a 0,0 dsap ssap couple) handling.
- RFKILL support for NFC."
For the b43 bits, Rafał says:

Concerning the bluetooth bits, Gustavo says:

Regarding mac80211, Johannes says:
"First, I merged mac80211/master to avoid some conflicts. This brings in a bunch of fixes you're already familiar with. For real -next material, I have a whole bunch of minstrel work, minstrel_ht from Felix and legacy minstrel from Thomas (Huehn). The other Thomas (Pedersen) did a number of changes in mesh to allow userspace peering management even when the mesh isn't secured. Stanislaw changes suspend/resume to always disconnect the networks. This is typically already done by network-manager so won't make a huge difference for most users, but fixes a number problems, particularly with USB drivers that can easily disconnect while suspended. Ilan has a small change to allow mac80211 drivers to differentiate remain-on-channel reasons, and Jouni extends nl80211 to allow fast roaming with full-MAC devices. I have a fairly large number of patches as well, many of them fairly simple cleanups, but also allowing split wiphy dumps and adding back the full wiphy information in nl80211, station entry change checking and more VHT work including VHT capability overrides (mostly for testing purposes)."
And for iwlwifi, Johannes says:
"Here, I also merged iwlwifi-fixes to avoid conflicts, and otherwise have various cleanups and improvements on the MVM driver, along with a few throughout the driver. Other than Bluetooth Coexistence from Emmanuel there's no over-arching theme, so listing them would pretty much reproduce the shortlog."
Regarding NFC, Samuel says:
"The 2 features we have with this one are:
- An LLCP Service Name Lookup (SNL) netlink interface for querying LLCP service availability from user space. Along the way, Thierry also improved the existing SNL interface for aggregating SNL responses.
- An initial LLCP socket options implementation, for setting the Receive Window (RW) and the Maximum Information Unit Extension (MIUX) per socket. This is need for the LLCP validation tests.
We also have a microread MEI build failure here: I am not sending this one to 3.9 because the MEI bus code is not there yet, so it won't break for anyone else than me."
And for ath6kl, Kalle says:
"I added tracing support to ath6kl, along with a new Kconfig option. Now there's also a workaround to reset USB devices when the firmware upload fails, this happened when host was warm rebooted. There are also quite a few small fixes or cleanup."
On top of all that, there is the usual bundle of driver updates with new features, new hardware support and the like mixed-in. The ath9k, b43, brcmfmac, mwifiex, rt2800, and wil6210 drivers are all well-represented, and a few other drivers are hit as well. I also pulled-in the wireless fixes tree in order to resolve some pending merge conflicts.
